Friends of Tawas Point Lighthouse and State Park

Mission Statement: Friends of Tawas Point Lighthouse and State Park is a non-profit, voluntary Association established to assist the lighthouse and state park.  Its goals are primarily in the areas of lighthouse and park promotion, lighthouse and park interpretation, lighthouse and park historical preservation and resource preservation.  Goals and activities are related to, but not limited to recreational, natural, cultural, historical, and educational pursuits.

In general, we as a tax-exempt organization will make available for public inspection certain annual returns and applications for exemption, and will provide copies of such returns and applications to individuals who request them. We are unable to accept in-person requests therefore copies of requested documents will be provided within 30 days from receipt of a written request.  We will charge $.20 per page copy plus postage.  The IRS must also make this same information publicly available at www.irs.gov/Charities-&-Non-Profits/Exempt-Organizations-Public-Disclosure-Obtaining-Copies-of-Documents-from-IRS.
